A Day Without Cam

So, if you're interested in having a great day, I've got a good formula for you.

First, you need to have a great friend. It is important that your friend have three other good friends that you don't know. Plan a rafting trip. I would recommend southeastern North Carolina, but anywhere would be fine. Go rafting. Try to get on a trip without a guide, always more fun without a guide. While on the river you should sing songs, slap your paddles on the bridges to please the gods, take pictures and watch out for trees. Remember to bring a change of clothes and avoid family members at all cost. Also, remember to park in the shade.

Second, while you are on your way home, go straight instead of taking a left. *important note: make sure you have a map in your car* Drive around on beautiful back roads until you find a river that looks fun to splash in. *important note: if you changed after rafting, change back into your swim suit. Also don't throw your skirt in to hidden puddles on the shore* While sitting and splashing in the river you should skip rocks, write songs in your head, use the bathroom, and be careful of slippery rocks. Also, make sure you do not park where it says 'no parking'.

Third, continue on back roads in the general direction of home. Try to find a state park that has a wonderful over look, hiking trails, and part of a castle that has an unreachable second floor with soda, pedicures, disco balls, and salsa and chips. If you see any steps, be sure to count them in any language you want or know.

Fourthly, it's time to head home. If you want, feel free to stop by any coffee shops, as long as you don't take another wrong turn.

Throughout your journey it is important to have intelligent, silly, and uplifting conversation. Just as important is the soundtrack. Recommendations include: Besides Daniel, Dean Martin, Sufjan Stevens, Bess Barger, and Counting Crows.

I dare you to do all that and not have a great day.
